Verification chatbot is a solution that authenticates incoming requests to join a closed Telegram channel, permitting only certified HCPs.
Case description
A pharmaceutical company from Ukraine sought to create a Telegram chatbot to authenticate users' requests by cross-referencing them with a CRM database.
The goal of the project was to grant access to a restricted Telegram channel exclusively for certified HCPs listed in the company's database.
New users interested in joining the channel had to be redirected to a website for registration
Our team developed a verification chatbot using Python as the primary programming language. Integrated with the client’s CRM, the chatbot cross-referenced new requests from HCPs with the contact information in the database.
After consenting to data processing, additional details such as location, date, time, and marketing channel, were collected in a local database.
If the user wasn’t found in the CRM, the chatbot would send a link to the website for registration. Shortly after registration, a notification from the chatbot was sent, requesting verification once again against the database. If successful, they could then join a closed Telegram channel.
Result
By automating and streamlining the process of verifying new users with the help of the chatbot, the company increased efficiency and reduced manual workload, reallocating those resources to more strategic initiatives and high-priority projects.
Additionally, the company enriched its database with the contact information of new HCPs, creating opportunities for further engagement with them.
